Discipling in the Hood is a Christian discipleship movement that is committed to nurturing and guiding individuals in their spiritual growth and journey toward becoming devoted followers of Christ.  While we are not a church we empower church leaders to grow their own church's discipleship ministries.

Discipling in the Hood, first and foremost focus on cultivating a deep and personal relationship with God. We provide opportunities for individuals to engage in regular prayer, Bible study, and worship, enabling them to develop a solid foundation in their faith under the authority of their local church.

 

We prioritize discipleship training, equipping individuals with the knowledge and understanding of biblical principles and teachings. This includes helping them grasp the core doctrines of Christianity, learn how to apply these principles in their daily lives, and encouraging them to live out their faith in practical ways.

 

Furthermore, Discipling in the Hood fosters a sense of community and fellowship and we create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can connect with like-minded believers, share their experiences, and support each other on their spiritual journey. Small groups, mentorship programs, and regular gatherings can facilitate these meaningful connections.

 

In addition to personal growth, we emphasize the importance of serving others. We encourage individuals to use their gifts, talents, and resources to impact their communities and the world around them positively. This can involve various outreach initiatives, missions trips, volunteering opportunities, and acts of compassion and justice.

 

Discipling in the Hood strives to produce mature and committed disciples of Christ. It should empower individuals to live out their faith authentically, to love and serve others selflessly, and to become influential ambassadors of God's grace, mercy, and truth in the world.
